The TITR Association discussed the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor with GIZ and Expertise France.

On February 16, 2026, a working meeting with representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Expertise France was held at the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Association office in Astana. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation within the framework of the new European Union program to develop the potential of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor, implemented with financial support from European institutions, as well as relevant agencies in Germany and France.

The program aims to strengthen transport connectivity among Central Asian countries and improve the regulatory framework by harmonizing customs procedures and implementing sustainable logistics solutions. Particular attention is paid to increasing the efficiency of international transportation, developing institutional cooperation, and creating unified approaches to regulating transit operations along the route.

Following the meeting, the participants identified key areas of cooperation, including promoting the Trans-Caspian Route in European markets and further developing joint initiatives. The parties agreed to continue coordinating work on developing the corridor, which is seen as a priority element in strengthening ties between Europe and Central Asia.
