WEC Lines launches new scheduled sea service between Zeebrugge, Dublin and Le Havre.

Dutch shipping company WEC Lines is launching a new seven-day sea route calling at key ports in North-West Europe and Ireland. The voyage will be operated by an 868 TEU vessel, departing Zeebrugge, Belgium, on Thursdays, arriving in Dublin on Sundays and calling at Le Havre, France, on Wednesdays. The full cycle takes exactly one week.

The new service will allow cargo to be delivered from Zeebrugge to Dublin in two days, from Dublin to Le Havre in two days, and back in one day. The service brings the number of weekly calls to Dublin to three, taking into account WEC Lines’ existing routes from Spain and Portugal. This decision was made in response to customer requests for more frequent and faster transportation of dry and refrigerated cargo between Ireland and continental Europe.

The company is also strengthening its presence in the French market, adding regular twice-weekly calls to Le Havre and a weekly service to the port of Montrois. WEC Lines, headquartered in Rotterdam, has a fleet of 16 vessels, an extensive container network and 17 offices worldwide. The new service provides full control over operations, including the transport of temperature-sensitive and hazardous cargo.
