The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Multimodal Transport Forum was held in Tashkent, bringing together representatives of transport agencies from member countries and international organizations. Kazakhstan was represented by Vice Minister Talgat Lastayev, who outlined key areas for the development of multimodal logistics.
ÖBB Rail Cargo Group is expanding its TransNET network with a new direct connection between Budapest and Curtici, Romania – two key logistics hubs connecting Western, Central, and Southeastern Europe. The route connects the region’s largest intermodal terminal, BILK, with Romania’s gateway to the Balkans and Turkey.

The Ukrainian maritime corridor continues to operate actively despite constant attacks on its infrastructure. Since its inception, it has handled 155 million tons of cargo, 92 million of which was grain. The country’s ports continue to ensure stable shipments, supporting the uninterrupted operation of export logistics.

The Akmola Railway Division demonstrated strong production results for the first ten months of 2025. The Port of Rotterdam continues to strengthen its position, overtaking its main competitor, the Antwerp-Bruges port complex. In the third quarter of 2025, Rotterdam’s container throughput reached 3.7 million TEU, 120,000 TEU more than the previous year and approximately 300,000 TEU higher than Antwerp. However, in terms of tonnes, Antwerp-Bruges still maintains its lead.
