Central Asian airlines signed record contracts with Boeing at the C5+1 summit.

The largest carriers in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan signed major agreements with Boeing during a meeting between Central Asian leaders and the US President in Washington. Kazakhstan’s Air Astana led the way, announcing an additional order for 15 long-haul Boeing 787-9s: five confirmed aircraft, five options, and five purchase rights. Adding three previously ordered aircraft, expected to be delivered in 2026–2027, the company’s future Dreamliner fleet will grow to 18 aircraft with a total list price of $7 billion. The new batch will be delivered between 2032 and 2035.

PRESPORT: Adriatic ports are moving towards green and digital logistics.

The PRESPORT project, implemented under the Interreg VI A Italy–Croatia 2021–2027 cross-border cooperation program, aims to accelerate the environmental and digital transformation of ports in Italy and Croatia. The initiative is funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the strategic projects category, with a total budget of €7.5 million. The Port Authority of Rijeka will receive €525,600 for the implementation of key solutions. The project will run from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2028.

Alstom will supply PKP Intercity with 42 Coradia Max trains and provide them with maintenance for 30 years.

Alstom has signed a contract with Polish operator PKP Intercity for the supply of 42 Coradia Max intercity electric trains and their maintenance for 30 years using the HealthHub digital platform. The agreement is valued at PLN 6.9 billion (approximately EUR 1.6 billion), with an option for an additional 30 trains. Production will take place in Poland, with assembly at Alstom’s Chorzów plant and bogie manufacture at the Nadarzyn facility.

CMA CGM will become a co-owner of the Eurogate container terminal in Hamburg and strengthen its presence in Northern Europe.

CMA CGM has signed an agreement to acquire a 20% stake in EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg, significantly strengthening the company’s position in the German market and enhancing Germany’s role in European and global trade. The transaction is scheduled to close in the first half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals.

SF Express has launched its first cargo airline service to the UK in partnership with Air One.

SF Express, Asia’s largest logistics operator, has launched its first all-cargo airline to the UK in partnership with Air One. As part of a year-long charter program, four Boeing 747-400BDSF flights weekly connect Ezhou, China, with East Midlands Airport, providing four-day delivery times. The new route, which began operations on November 2, is optimized for time-sensitive cargo categories, from e-commerce to high-tech products and cold-chain goods.

Uzbekistan is accelerating its railway modernization, with plans to build new lines and expand high-speed rail service.

Uzbekistan has approved a large-scale plan for the development of its railway infrastructure through 2030, including the construction of over 150 km of new lines and the electrification of 182 km of existing lines. Following an industry meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, additional measures to strengthen the railway network were also outlined.

Kazakhstan announced its priorities for the development of multimodal transportation at the United Territory Community forum in Tashkent.

The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Multimodal Transport Forum was held in Tashkent, bringing together representatives of transport agencies from member countries and international organizations. Kazakhstan was represented by Vice Minister Talgat Lastayev, who outlined key areas for the development of multimodal logistics.
