KTZ Express, Aktau Port and YXE Trading Service Group signed a memorandum on joint investments.

On June 16, 2025, within the framework of the II Forum on Industrial and Investment Cooperation “China-Central Asia”, a trilateral agreement was concluded between JSC “KTZ Express”, JSC “NC “Aktau International Sea Trade Port” and the Chinese company YXE Trading Service Group. The signing took place in the presence of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar.

OECD cuts global growth forecast as trade barriers pose further threat.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has revised its forecast for global economic growth: in 2025 and 2026, it will amount to 2.9% instead of the previously expected 3.0%. This is lower than the 2024 level (3.3%). According to experts, the main risks are associated with increased protectionism and uncertainty in trade policy, which could slow down the recovery even more.

KTZ Express and Neptune Logistics agreed to cooperate at Transport Logistic – 2025.

At the international exhibition Transport Logistic – 2025 in Munich, KTZ Express signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Chinese logistics operator Shenzhen Neptune Logistics. The parties agreed to work together to develop multimodal routes between China, Central Asia and Europe, as well as to implement digital solutions in cargo transportation management.

Stena Line expands Birkenhead terminal as cargo volumes grow.

Swedish ferry operator Stena Line has completed the expansion of its 12 Quays terminal in Birkenhead, increasing unaccompanied trailer capacity by almost 30%. The addition of 200 new truck parking spaces will reduce congestion and improve logistics as traffic volumes increase following the launch of the Liverpool to Dublin freight service in February 2024.

ZHETYSU – a new container terminal opened in Almaty with the participation of Samruk-Kazyna and Chinese partners.

The grand opening of the modern ZHETYSU container terminal, one of the key projects in the strategy of transforming Kazakhstan into a transport and logistics hub of Central Asia, took place in Almaty. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board of JSC Samruk-Kazyna Nurlan Zhakupov, Akim of Almaty Darkhan Satybaldy, and the Governor of the Chinese province of Shaanxi Zhao Gang. On the opening day, the first container train from Chinese Xi’an arrived at the terminal.

A modern Border Control Point will be built in the port of Gdansk.

The Port of Gdansk has launched a major infrastructure project – the construction of an Integrated Border Control Point (ZPKG) next to the Baltic Hub terminal. The new centre, covering an area of ​​over 2 hectares, will unite the work of all control services in one place, which will simplify and speed up inspections of goods arriving in the European Union and increase the efficiency of the port against the backdrop of growing cargo turnover.

HHLA is creating a new logistics hub in Transcarpathia – the Eurobridge Batiovo terminal.

The German company HHLA, together with the Ukrainian investment company Fortior Capital, is creating a new intermodal terminal HHLA Eurobridge Batiovo in the Zakarpattia region, near the border with the EU. HHLA will receive a controlling stake and will develop the facility through its subsidiary railway company METRANS. The project is currently awaiting approval from the Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee.
