A digital system for permits for international cargo transportation has been launched in Ukraine.

Ukraine has implemented an electronic system for issuing ECMT permits for international freight transport, fully harmonized with European standards. Since November 1, carriers have been able to obtain all necessary permits online through the state portal. The new mechanism reduces document processing time, eliminates human error, ensures transparent accounting, and synchronizes with EU databases.

Altynkol is strengthening its status as a major logistics hub on the border between Kazakhstan and China.

The Altynkol border station continues to play a key role in the development of transport links between Kazakhstan and China, serving as one of the central logistics hubs in Central Asia. Three major terminals operate here—the Dry Port of KTZE-Khorgos Gateway LLC, Eurotransit LLC, and Kedentransservice JSC—ensuring stable freight traffic along the Silk Road routes. Dozens of trains pass through Altynkol daily, and the container train transhipment time is only 55 minutes, made possible by highly automated and modern equipment.

A new package of investment projects has been launched in Ukraine within the framework of the UIF.

The Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF) has approved the launch of a new package of public investment programs, providing for the financing of 11 projects in various sectors. Three of these will be implemented under the coordination of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development, including the World Bank and EBRD “Rehabilitation of Essential Logistics Infrastructure and Network Connections (RELINC)” project, which covers railways, roads, ports on the Danube, and the modernization of border crossing points.

Rail Baltica presented its experience in managing international infrastructure projects at the Lyon–Turin Euroforum.

At the 10th annual Lyon–Turin Euroforum (LTEF 2025), held at the French Embassy in Palazzo Farnese, experts, politicians, and industry representatives discussed key aspects of designing and managing the infrastructure of the future. EDB strengthens the institutional environment for PPPs in Kazakhstan.

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), together with the Kazakhstan Center for Public-Private Partnership and the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, has launched a project to develop and strengthen the institutional environment for PPPs in Kazakhstan. The initiative is being implemented with financial support from the EDB Technical Assistance Fund (EADB TAF), and the parties signed a corresponding agreement at the IV International Conference on PPPs in Kyrgyzstan.

DSV delivers strong results following integration with DB Schenker.

In the third quarter of 2025, Danish transport and logistics company DSV delivered impressive financial results despite declining transport volumes and an unstable macroeconomic environment. Thanks to strict cost discipline and rapid integration with DB Schenker, the company strengthened its global market position. DSV’s gross profit increased to DKK 19.51 billion (€2.62 billion) from DKK 11.08 billion a year earlier, and its operating profit (EBIT) rose to DKK 5.43 billion (€728 million) compared to DKK 4.42 billion in the third quarter of 2024.
