Construction of a 7.2-kilometer tunnel has begun in southern Armenia.

The Armenian government has officially launched the construction of a 7.2-kilometer tunnel in the Syunik region. The new structure will form part of the Agarak–Kajaran highway, a key infrastructure project in the country’s south. Construction work was inaugurated by Minister of Territorial Administration Davit Khudatyan and representatives of the contracting firms during a ceremonial event.

A key outcome of the meeting was the confirmation of readiness to launch the “Aktau International Container Hub” LLP; preparatory work for the facility has been fully completed, and operations are scheduled to begin before the end of June of this year.

SolitAir launched its first cargo flight to the EU, connecting Dubai and Sofia.

Air cargo carrier SolitAir has operated its inaugural flight on the Dubai–Sofia route, marking the launch of its first service to the European Union. This new route was made possible by the company obtaining ACC3 certification from the Belgian aviation authority, authorizing the carrier to transport cargo and mail into the EU and the European Economic Area in compliance with aviation security regulations.
