Davies Turner and Torrestir join forces to strengthen the logistics corridor between the UK and Portugal.

British company Davies Turner and Portuguese operator Torrestir have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at improving connectivity, increasing capacity, and reducing delivery times between the UK and Portugal. The new arrangement involves integrating road freight services with multiple weekly departures in both directions, connecting Torrestir’s logistics centers in Lisbon and Porto with Davies Turner’s regional hubs in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, and Glasgow.

KTZ will attract $1.6 billion to upgrade its locomotive fleet.

JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy signed a mandate agreement to attract $1.6 billion in financing over a 10-year period for the renewal of its locomotive fleet. The document was signed during the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to the United States between KTZ and Citibank, which is coordinating the transaction. The U.S. Export-Import Bank (US EXIM) is serving as the project guarantee.

Liege Airport and Chicago Rockford International Airport are forming an alliance to develop transatlantic cargo transportation.

The new alliance aims to strengthen cooperation in transatlantic air cargo transportation, expand traffic between the two hubs, and implement joint marketing and digital projects to improve logistics efficiency and service quality.

A digital system for permits for international cargo transportation has been launched in Ukraine.

Ukraine has implemented an electronic system for issuing ECMT permits for international freight transport, fully harmonized with European standards. Since November 1, carriers have been able to obtain all necessary permits online through the state portal. The new mechanism reduces document processing time, eliminates human error, ensures transparent accounting, and synchronizes with EU databases.
