KTZ Express sent the first container train from Shanxi to Azerbaijan via TITR.

KTZ Express successfully organized the multimodal transportation of the first container train from China’s Shanxi Province to Azerbaijan along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). The train of 50 containers with photovoltaic modules weighing more than 1,150 tons departed from the Zhongding logistics center in Jinzhong and transited through Kazakhstan.

Air France-KLM has expressed interest in privatizing TAP Air Portugal.

Air France-KLM has become the first airline to formally announce its intention to participate in the privatization of the Portuguese national carrier TAP Air Portugal. The company has stressed its interest in the process and confirmed its readiness to submit a bid once the Portuguese government has clarified the terms of the sale.

The Port of Klaipeda increased its cargo turnover by 16% and strengthened its leadership among the Baltic ports.

In the first half of 2025, the port of Klaipeda handled almost 19 million tons of cargo, which is 16% more than in the same period last year. The growth was driven by container traffic (6.5 million tons, +38%), as well as increased volumes in the LNG (+47%), mineral and construction materials (+48%), ro-ro (+6%) and oil products (+4%) segments. The container volume reached almost 700 thousand TEU, and the port is expected to exceed the 1 million TEU mark by the end of the year.

In Kazakhstan, the growth of maritime transport and the development of port infrastructure are being discussed.

A meeting on the development of the maritime industry was held under the chairmanship of Zhanibek Tayzhanov, head of the Committee for Railway and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Representatives of the Aktau and Kuryk seaports, KTZ, Kazmortransflot, the Maritime Administration and other relevant structures took part in the discussion.
