The jubilee 300th container train along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) departed from the terminal in Xi’an (PRC). It goes through Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, and its shipment was organized jointly with ADY Express (Azerbaijan) and Xi’an Free Trade Port (China).
Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI provider, announced a 25% increase in revenue for the first nine months of 2024 to €2.06 billion, and an increase in net profit to €83.3 million. The main revenue sources were Europe (55.1%) and Asia (27.9%), while the Americas, Africa and Australia contributed 15.7% of total revenue. Kalmar has been awarded a contract to supply 20 hybrid material handlers to APM Terminals MedPort Tangier in Morocco. The equipment will be delivered during Q2 and Q3 2025. The order forms part of Kalmar’s Q3 2024 quarterly report and continues the successful cooperation between the companies.
A.P. Moller – Maersk (Maersk) has welcomed its new methanol-capable dual-fuel container ship in Singapore. The vessel, named A.P. Møller after the company’s founder Arnold Peter Møller, is the ninth methanol-capable vessel in Maersk’s fleet. The naming ceremony was conducted by Robert Uggla, Chairman of Maersk, in the presence of senior Singapore government officials, customers and employees.
As of November 28, 2024, more than 85 million tons of cargo were transported through the Ukrainian sea corridor. Of these, 56.7 million tons of grain were exported to ensure global food security. This result demonstrates the effectiveness of the corridor even in difficult war conditions.
Kazakhstan and China have successfully transferred the process of exchanging foreign permit forms (FPF) to an electronic format. On the night of November 26-27, the system was tested, after which the electronic system was officially introduced. FPF is a key document for international cargo transportation, simplifying the departure of vehicles with cargo abroad.

Rail Baltica, one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects, has completed the first stage of the competitive selection process for the construction of a section of the main line in Estonia. Five consortiums, including four international and one local, have passed a rigorous qualification process and will continue to compete for the contract worth up to 932 million euros. The winners will design and build the railway sections between Ülemiste, Pärnu and the Latvian border.
