Logistics company CLdN has announced the fulfillment of all conditions to finalize the acquisition of Samskip’s quay-to-quay and door-to-door shipping business connecting continental Europe, the UK, and Ireland. The official integration of these services into the CLdN network is scheduled for June 29. The deal covers container shipping routes from the Port of Rotterdam to UK ports (Belfast, Blyth, Grangemouth, Hull, and Tilbury) and Irish ports (Cork, Dublin, and Waterford).

The modernization project for the METRANS (Polonia) sp. z o.o. terminal in Gądki, near Poznań, has entered a critical final phase. Two state-of-the-art electric RMG cranes equipped with remote control systems are currently being installed at the site. Overall construction progress has reached approximately 90%; key infrastructure elements are already complete, including a full-length 750-meter railway track for train unloading and a significant portion of the internal yard areas and access roads.

The new bridge replaces an approximately 100-year-old structure on the second track. The first of the two new bridges was already commissioned in July 2025.

The French group CMA CGM, logistics operator CEVA Logistics, and Chinese automaker Chery Auto have signed a memorandum of understanding at Chery’s headquarters in Wuhu. The agreement lays the foundation for long-term cooperation aimed at supporting Chery’s international expansion and further developing its global supply chains. The partners intend to enhance the efficiency, resilience, and reliability of the company’s logistics operations in key global markets.

Polish logistics company Rohlig SUUS Logistics has opened a new cross-docking terminal in Kielce, significantly expanding its operational capabilities in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Spanning 4,400 square meters, the new facility is more than twice the size of the previous terminal and is located near the S7 expressway, enabling faster regional, national, and international transport. This investment aims to meet the growing demand for transport and logistics services in the region.

The leasing company Alpha Trains has become one of the first private companies in Germany to invest in equipping existing regional rolling stock with the European Train Control System (ETCS). The project involves 35 Stadler FLIRT3 electric trainsets operated under the BRB (Bayerische Regiobahn) brand; these will serve the Rosenheimer Kreuz (ROX) network following the tender victory of the operator Bayerische Oberlandbahn, organized by the Bayerische Eisenbahngesellschaft. The new network service contract will run from December 2029 to December 2043.
