LTG Infra is establishing a competence centre for high-speed rail design at the Rail Baltica hub in Kaunas.

Last year, LTG Infra initiated the creation of a high-speed rail design competence center, which aims to strengthen the company’s engineering capabilities and, potentially, enable it to offer expertise beyond Lithuania. The new division will accumulate experience in modern infrastructure design and will facilitate the expansion of the 1435 mm European gauge network.

CargoBeamer has launched an intermodal service between Stuttgart and Milan via the Alps.

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group has launched a regular TransFER service between Villach and Desio.

Since the beginning of the year, ÖBB Rail Cargo Group has been operating the TransFER Villach–Desio service twice weekly, providing a direct rail connection between Austria and one of Northern Italy’s key industrial regions. Transit time is just one day. All types of cargo are transported on this route, including single-carload shipments, car groups, and 20- to 40-foot containers.

Rail operators are launching the Track Together pilot project to improve transport efficiency at the Port of Rotterdam.

Six rail operators – Rail Force One, HSL Netherlands, DB Cargo Nederland, RTB Cargo, LTE Rail Europe, and Rail Cargo Group – signed an agreement coordinated by the Port of Rotterdam Authority aimed at strengthening operational cooperation on the port rail line.
