A.P. Moller – Maersk has unveiled a state-of-the-art Cross Dock warehouse at its Maasvlakte II terminal in Rotterdam, aiming to expedite cargo movement from vessel arrival to final destination, particularly in the Benelux, German, and French hinterland. The warehouse, spanning 23,000 sqm with 120 docks and interim storage, welcomed Starbucks as its first client, creating over 200 new jobs at full capacity.
Stanislav Kovaljov, Head of Cargo Insurance at Marine Insurance Services, shared the idea that in modern logistics all participants in the transportation chain should have liability insurance. Stanislav explained it this way: “In the case when the cargo owner has insured his cargo, you must understand, as forwarders, as carriers, that a recourse may come to you in this regard if something happens to the cargo. It is not worth deferring this responsibility to the contractor and relying on his insurance, since the forwarder will still face problems if he does not have his own coverage. Cargo insurance can be organized by the cargo owner independently or offered by the forwarder to its clients, ensuring the convenience of their cooperation.”
Just two months after a barge collided with the railway swing bridge over the River Hunte near Elsfleth, halting rail traffic, Deutsche Bahn has swiftly completed repairs, restoring crucial connectivity between Berne and Elsfleth. The rapid reconstruction utilized heavy equipment like floating cranes and dredgers to dismantle the damaged bridge and install a temporary structure, ensuring minimal disruption to freight and passenger services.

Global DTC Pte Ltd. and KTZ Express JSC announced the start of work on creating a digital corridor as part of the Trans-Caspian international transport route. A declaration on this was signed on May 23, 2024 in Singapore during the Kazakh-Singapore Business Forum with the participation of the Head of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The E60 takes its name from the motorway of the same name, which runs from France to Kyrgyzstan, symbolizing the wide customer base spanning countries crossed by the route, including Ukraine, Armenia and others.
Kazakhstan became the first CIS country to sign an agreement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and join the ACT-SAF program. The initiative aims to help achieve the goal of net zero emissions from international flights by 2050.
