Logistics company A2B-online has announced the relocation of its short-sea shipping service to the UK port of Tilbury. The company noted that the move to the new terminal marks a significant milestone in its business development, enabling network optimization thanks to the port’s strategic location, modern infrastructure, and enhanced cargo-handling capabilities.
According to Michael van Keulen, Managing Director of A2B-online Container B.V., the route change will improve service quality and lay the groundwork for future growth. The company also looks forward to close cooperation with the Port of Tilbury authorities, combining expertise, achieving economies of scale, and further strengthening its market position in trade between continental Europe and the UK. For its part, the Port of Tilbury management stated that the new liner service would connect two strategic logistics hubs and enhance supply chain reliability by reducing vessel turnaround times.
At the same time, A2B-online expressed its gratitude to London Thamesport, where the service had operated for the past 12 years. The company emphasized that the decision to relocate the route was not taken lightly and thanked the terminal’s management and staff for their professionalism, flexibility, and contributions to the business, all of which helped strengthen the carrier’s market position.
