BGS has extended its cooperation with Finnair in the Baltic countries until 2026.

Baltic Ground Services (BGS) has extended its cooperation agreement with Finnish national carrier Finnair, expanding its existing contracts at key Baltic airports. Effective January 1, 2026, the company will continue to provide aircraft refuelling services at Vilnius Airport, Riga International Airport, and Tallinn Airport, and will also retain its status as Finnair’s ground handling provider in Vilnius.

The cooperation is being developed in stages: fueling operations in Vilnius began in January 2017, in Tallinn in March 2024, and in Riga in October 2024. From these airports, Finnair operates scheduled flights to its hub in Helsinki, connecting the Baltic capitals with the carrier’s European and intercontinental route network.

The contract extension confirms BGS’s strategic role as a regional provider of ground handling services and aviation fuel, and underscores the importance of stable local partnerships for the smooth operation of airlines. Finnair noted that reliability, safety, and punctuality remain key factors in service quality, and considers BGS a long-term and proven partner in the region.
