Baltic Ground Services (BGS), an international provider of ground handling and aircraft fueling services, has launched a partnership with the Israeli airline Arkia Israeli Airlines at Vilnius Airport. The company provides a full range of services to the new carrier – including ground handling and into-plane fueling – for flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv, marking the first joint project between the two companies.
Arkia launched scheduled flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv in May 2026, operating three flights per week during the summer season. This new route strengthens air links between Lithuania and Israel and expands the presence of new carriers in the Lithuanian market. BGS notes that securing this new client represents a significant milestone in the company’s development in Vilnius, where the number of international airlines served is on the rise.
Arkia emphasized the importance of reliable local partners when entering new markets and expressed satisfaction with the start of the collaboration with BGS. For its part, BGS noted that sustainable air service development requires high-quality ground support from the very first day of operations. This new partnership further strengthens BGS’s position at Vilnius Airport as a key provider of ground handling and fueling services for international carriers.
