CMA CGM, CEVA Logistics, and Chery Auto are forming a strategic partnership to develop global automotive logistics.

The French group CMA CGM, logistics operator CEVA Logistics, and Chinese automaker Chery Auto have signed a memorandum of understanding at Chery’s headquarters in Wuhu. The agreement lays the foundation for long-term cooperation aimed at supporting Chery’s international expansion and further developing its global supply chains. The partners intend to enhance the efficiency, resilience, and reliability of the company’s logistics operations in key global markets.

Under this partnership, CMA CGM will leverage its global shipping and logistics network, while CEVA Logistics will provide comprehensive management of automotive logistics and cross-border transport. Joint solutions will cover Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, and the Middle East. Support will extend to the transport of finished vehicles, automotive components, and electric vehicle batteries, encompassing domestic distribution, international shipping, and multimodal logistics operations.

The companies note that the increasing complexity of global supply chains necessitates closer collaboration between manufacturers and logistics operators. By combining the expertise of CMA CGM and CEVA Logistics, Chery aims to accelerate business localization in overseas markets, increase supply flexibility, and improve customer service. The partners also intend to jointly develop modern, sustainable logistics ecosystems capable of supporting the continued growth of the Chinese automaker’s international presence.
