Construction of the Moyinty–Kyzylzhar railway in Kazakhstan is more than 90% complete.

In Kazakhstan, work continues on the new Moyinty–Kyzylzhar railway line project, which is set to become a vital link in the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. Spanning over 300 kilometers, this main line will traverse the Karaganda and Ulytau regions, connecting the Moyinty and Kyzylzhar stations. Once commissioned, the new section will shorten freight transport routes by 149 kilometers, enhance the efficiency of containerized cargo shipments, and boost the country’s transit potential.

According to project updates, major earthworks are already more than 90% complete. The laying of the track structure is 40% finished, while the construction of engineering structures – including bridges, overpasses, culverts, and livestock crossings – is over 65% complete. Concurrently, work continues on developing the infrastructure for the future line.

The construction effort involves over 1,700 specialists, approximately 670 units of heavy machinery, and more than ten subcontracting organizations. Operations are being conducted around the clock and remain under the constant supervision of the Government of Kazakhstan. According to the approved schedule, the new railway line is slated to enter permanent commercial operation by the end of the current year.
