WFS and GEODIS have expanded their partnership in Brussels by signing a five-year contract.

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), part of the SATS Group, has signed a new five-year agreement with logistics operator GEODIS at Brussels Airport. The contract covers a full range of cargo handling and e-commerce services and marks the latest step in the expanding partnership between the two companies. GEODIS has previously utilized WFS facilities for import and export operations at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport since 2021.

Under the new agreement, GEODIS has outsourced all cargo consolidation and deconsolidation operations in Brussels to WFS. This move ensures round-the-clock operational readiness for customers and offers greater flexibility in managing costs and staffing. WFS provides similar services at several European airports – including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Dublin, Liège, Madrid, and Stockholm – as well as at 12 locations in France. The service portfolio includes shipment preparation, weighing and measuring, packing and repacking, screening, labeling, sorting, customs preparation, and ground delivery.

Of particular importance to GEODIS is the WFS GDP-certified pharmaceutical terminal in Brussels, which features two cold storage chambers totaling 300 square meters for handling temperature-sensitive cargo. The company notes that this will strengthen GEODIS’s position in the Belgian pharmaceutical logistics market. WFS emphasized that the partnership will also provide customers with real-time data access – including operational documents, timestamps, and visual cargo monitoring – thereby enhancing transparency and service quality.
