Japanese cargo carrier Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) resumed flights to Frankfurt on September 4, 2025, after a break in 2010. The flights will be operated on Boeing B747-8Fs with stopovers in Anchorage and Amsterdam, as well as on the Tokyo-Anchorage-Frankfurt route. Frankfurt, along with Amsterdam, will now become one of the company’s key European hubs.

Logistics company Gebrüder Weiss has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Istanbul-based Sienzi Lojistik, a specialist in bonded warehousing. The deal, which is expected to close in January 2026 subject to regulatory approval, will expand the company’s service capabilities and strengthen the Istanbul hub as a key hub for international supply chains. The company will continue to operate under the brand name Sienzi Lojistik – a Company of Gebrüder Weiss, with current Managing Director Murat Doğan remaining as a co-owner of the business.
