Germany is losing cargo flows due to high fees and bureaucracy.
The German Aviation Association (BDL) has warned of a rapid shift of air cargo out of the country in favor of foreign hubs. According to the organization, costs and administrative barriers are making cargo handling in Germany increasingly unprofitable. At a meeting of the Aircargo Club Deutschland (ACD) in Frankfurt, BDL Managing Director Joachim Lang noted: “Handling air cargo in Germany is becoming too expensive.”
