On September 26, the first container train departed from the Chinese city of Xi’an to Germany along a new multimodal route combining rail and sea transport. According to Xinhua, the train is carrying auto parts, digital equipment, and consumer goods, bound for the German port of Hamburg.
Latvian engineering companies SIA “Belss” and SIA “Anytec Productions,” specializing in the production of premium aluminum vessels in Bolderaja (Port of Riga), have developed the country’s first multifunctional port infrastructure servicing boat. The vessel has already entered service at the Port of Salacgriva, marking a significant step in the development of Latvian shipbuilding and confirming that Riga can build modern, technologically sophisticated vessels that are competitive in the global market.

The Polish government will allocate over €57.7 million to develop road and rail infrastructure in the border regions with Ukraine. The funds are being allocated under the Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine 2021-2027 program, according to the Polish Ministry of Foundations and Regional Policy. Of this, €52.5 million is earmarked for improving transport links, and another €5.1 million will support small economic projects.
International logistics operator DP World has signed an agreement with Tashkent Invest, a subsidiary of the Tashkent city administration, to establish a joint venture, DP World Tashkent LLC. The new multimodal logistics terminal will be built in the Yangi Avlod special industrial zone in the Yangihayot region.
