Baltic Ground Services (BGS), a part of Avia Solutions Group and a specialist in ground handling and aviation fuel supply, has entered into a strategic partnership with Greece’s largest air carrier, AEGEAN Airlines. Since June 2025, BGS will provide full ground handling services to the Greek airline at Vilnius International Airport (VNO), where AEGEAN’s first arrival took place on June 3 and its first departure on June 4.
The company Bahnoperator Czech s.r.o. is led by Martin Gráca(CEO), a logistics specialist with over 20 years in corporate and private-sector freight services.Bahnoperator group (via Bahnoperator Europe GmbH) has registered a new Czech subsidiary—Bahnoperator Czech s.r.o.- in Prague as of March 2025. The move aims to support the company’s expanding intermodal rail network between Central Europe, China and middle east counties in direct connection to control the whole transport chain by own resources or long-term partners in behind.
The first passenger carriage manufactured at the Stadler Kazakhstan plant was presented to the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The carriages were designed to withstand the harsh climatic conditions of the country and are designed for 40 years of service. They feature modern engineering solutions aimed at improving passenger comfort and safety.
Rail Baltic Estonia has signed a contract with the Estonian company AllSpark OÜ for the design of a 16 km long Soodevahe–Muuga railway section that will connect the country’s main cargo port with the future European Rail Baltica mainline. The contract value is almost 2.9 million euros excluding VAT. The new section will be exclusively for freight traffic and will be the first direct connection of the port with a European standard railway line in Estonia.
The agreement between the MSC consortium and BlackRock to buy 80% of the assets of terminal operator Hutchison Ports, announced in March, may be subject to changes. According to Bloomberg, the Chinese state-owned company COSCO is believed to be joining the talks. Sources suggest that this is a compromise between the US and China, reached during May consultations in Switzerland.
The structure of rail freight transport in Poland continued to shift in 2024, with hard coal losing its leading position both in transported volume and transport work.
With freight volumes growing and CO₂ emissions becoming increasingly important, Akiem and Lineas are expanding their partnership to support the transition from road to rail. According to ADEME, trucks account for around 10% of CO₂ emissions in Europe and 13% in France. With transport volumes projected to grow by 30% by 2030, the development of rail infrastructure is critical to reducing environmental impacts and road congestion.

Train Alliance и MSG Terminal подписали договор аренды на строительство нового пересадочного терминала в логистической зоне Hallsberg Rala. Инвестиции в проект составят чуть более 20 млн шведских крон (около 1,77 млн евро), которые покроет Train Alliance. MSG Terminal арендует объект сроком на десять лет, при этом ежегодные арендные платежи и сборы составят около 2,6 млн шведских крон (около 230 000 евро).
Компания CargoBeamer, специализирующаяся на железнодорожных перевозках полуприцепов и являющаяся оператором интермодальных терминалов, объявила о строительстве нового высокоавтоматизированного терминала в Кальденкирхене, недалеко от границы между Германией и Нидерландами. Это будет первый собственный терминал компании в Германии, специально разработанный для автоматизированной погрузки полуприцепов без крана на железнодорожном транспорте. Строительство начнётся во второй половине 2025 года, а ввод в эксплуатацию запланирован на 2026 год.
