Global air cargo demand fell 4.8% in March 2026.

The global air cargo market in March 2026 experienced a 4.8% decline in demand compared to the previous year, amid a challenging geopolitical situation in the Middle East and seasonal factors. International cargo flows declined by 5.5%, while total industry capacity decreased by 4.7%. Meanwhile, the cargo load factor remained stable at 47.9%, indicating the market has partially adjusted to the decline in volumes.

Hupac ended 2025 with a profit of CHF 3.5 million amid infrastructure constraints.

Swiss company Hupac has announced its financial results for the 2025 financial year, which was marked by challenging conditions due to extensive construction work on the European rail network. Despite this, the combined transport operator maintained a positive financial result and earned a profit of CHF 3.5 million. Revenue increased by 3.1% to CHF 646 million, but rising costs and unfavorable exchange rates led to a decline in gross margin to 21.6% and EBIT to 1.9%. Over the year, the company transported approximately 975,000 road shipments, or 1.853 million TEUs. Volumes on Hupac’s key transalpine route through Switzerland increased by 4.5% to 560,000 shipments, including increased freight volumes on the Belgium-Italy corridor.

The LNG tanker Celsius Georgetown for Celsius Group departed Nantong for Singapore after being delivered to the shipyard.

China’s largest indigenously designed LNG tanker, Celsius Georgetown, built for the Danish company Celsius Group, departed Nantong for Singapore following its official delivery at a shipyard in Jiangsu Province. With a capacity of 180,000 cubic meters, the LNG carrier is one of the largest vessels of its type built in the country.

ID Logistics increased revenue by 14.2% in the first quarter of 2026.

French logistics operator ID Logistics opened 2026 with a strong financial result: first-quarter revenue amounted to €990.7 million, a 14.2% increase year-on-year. Adjusted for currency effects – primarily the weakening of the US dollar – the comparable growth was 17.2%. Eric Aimard, Chairman and CEO, described the results as a confirmation of the resilience of ID Logistics’ business model and the relevance of its market positioning.
