Ukraine has approved a civil aviation development strategy through 2030.

The Ukrainian government has approved a civil aviation development strategy extending to 2030 and established an Interagency Coordination Center to prepare for the resumption of air travel. This was announced by Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development. The document was drafted by a working group under the Ministry of Development and forms part of the process of aligning the country’s transport system with European Union standards.

Baltic Hub has received PLN 220.6 million for the modernization of its container terminal in Gdańsk.

Baltic Hub, a container terminal within the PSA Group, has signed an agreement with Poland’s Centre for EU Transport Projects to secure PLN 220.6 million in funding for the electrification and modernization of its terminal complex in Gdańsk. The grant will cover nearly 40% of the project’s total estimated cost of PLN 554 million.

Germany will increase investment in transport infrastructure to €170 billion.

German Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder has presented the government-approved draft federal budget for 2027, which provides for a significant increase in funding for transport infrastructure. In total, approximately €170 billion is slated for sector development between 2025 and 2029. Investment in 2027 alone will amount to €33.7 billion – can increase of nearly €640 million over previously planned levels. According to the minister, the funds will be used to address a backlog of maintenance issues and to fund the construction and modernization of transport facilities.

Poland and Ukraine are developing a transport partnership as part of the effort to rebuild Ukrainian infrastructure.

The Ukraine Reconstruction Conference (URC 2026), dedicated to rebuilding Ukraine following Russian aggression, took place in Gdańsk on June 25–26. Jiangmen Hengtong Shipbuilding has delivered China’s largest fully revolving crane vessel for offshore construction.

The Chinese company Jiangmen Hengtong Shipbuilding has completed construction and delivered the new semi-submersible crane vessel Xihang Yunsheng to the client; it is the largest vessel of its type in the country in terms of lifting capacity. The project was executed by a subsidiary of Fourth Harbor Engineering. The vessel is designed for the construction of large-scale marine structures, including bridges, port infrastructure, offshore wind turbines, oil and gas platforms, and subsea tunnels.
