The hull of the 130-metre 096 Incat, the world’s largest battery-powered catamaran, has been launched at the Incat shipyard in Hobart, Tasmania. The ferry is being built for South American operator Buquebus and is the largest project in the Australian shipbuilder’s history.
The Port of Rotterdam Authority has supported the new energy and climate package presented by the Dutch government in the spring budget memorandum. Together with Deltalinqs, the City of Rotterdam and the province of South Holland, the port emphasizes the importance of investments in industrial sustainability. One of the world’s largest sea container carriers, the Danish company Maersk, has introduced a new corporate design for its containers. Instead of the traditional gray color used since 1973, the new containers will now be painted bright blue.
The 13th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Kazakhstan and Pakistan was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev and the Minister of National Economy of Pakistan Ahad Khan Cheema. China Henan Aviation Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudia Cargo to establish a strategic air cargo corridor linking the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. The new agreement builds on China Henan’s experience in establishing a cargo hub in Zhengzhou, making it and Riyadh twin logistics hubs.
French logistics group CMA CGM has completed the acquisition of Belgian cargo airline Air Belgium, continuing to actively develop its own aviation division CMA CGM Air Cargo, founded in 2021.

On April 27, 2025, the Port of La Spezia welcomed the new Equinox-class containership Alva Maersk, one of Maersk Line’s most modern vessels, capable of carrying up to 16,500 TEU. Launched in March from Singapore, the vessel is on its maiden voyage west on the AE11/SE2 route, part of the Gemini integrated network. Port operations began in the morning and concluded on schedule on the evening of April 28 at the Fornelli berth.

The state-owned Lithuanian operator LTG Cargo (part of the LTG group) is expanding the geography of multimodal transportation by adding two new routes to the existing Kaunas-Duisburg route — Kaunas-Lodz and Lodz-Duisburg. Test runs are planned for their launch in the near future, and regular service may begin as early as June 2025.
