Van Oord and the Port of Amsterdam have carried out the first ship-to-ship bunkering of green methanol.
The Port of Amsterdam has seen its first-ever green methanol bunkering of a ship: Van Oord’s drillship Boreas received 500 tonnes of the green fuel from the bunkering vessel Chicago (operated by Unibarge) at TMA Logistics’ Amerikohaven terminal. The fuel was supplied by ISCC-certified OCI HyFuels, produced from sustainable sources such as waste and residual streams.
