South Korean shipping company HMM has announced the launch of a large-scale investment program to modernize its fleet. According to a company filing, the company plans to build 12 container ships with a capacity of 13,000 TEU each and two VLCC oil tankers. Rail operator ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has officially received a unified safety certificate from the European Railway Agency (ERA) for the Netherlands, Belgium, and the German border region, marking the start of the company’s own operations in Belgium. The document confirms RCG’s full compliance with all legal and operational requirements for freight transport safety and expands the group’s capabilities in Western Europe.
