Infrastructure operator LTG Infra has finalized the design and construction process and signed a contract with the Lithuanian company UAB Tilsta. The agreement is valued at €13.9 million (including VAT). The project entails replacing the existing level crossing with a modern underpass for vehicles, ensuring safer and uninterrupted traffic flow for both local residents and transit vehicles. This project is part of the development of the Rail Baltica railway hub in Kaunas, where new infrastructure is being actively integrated into the urban environment.

DP World, in partnership with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and the TerraWater Institute, has signed an agreement to conduct a feasibility study on the use of small modular reactors (SMRs) at the Port of Constanța. The study aims to assess the viability of this energy model for powering the port and logistics infrastructure of the Black Sea’s largest port. If the findings are positive, Constanța could become one of the first ports in Europe to utilize nuclear SMR solutions to power container terminals, data centers, and future industrial facilities.

Turkey plans to hold a tender in 2026 for the design of a new logistics port in Mersin with a capacity of up to 5 million TEU. According to documentation from the Turkish Ministry of Transport, the facility will be developed as a standalone infrastructure unit – separate from the city’s existing port complex – thereby creating a new logistics hub in the region.

In April 2026, Poland’s railway sector recorded significant growth in both passenger and freight transport. According to the Polish Office of Rail Transport, over 38.8 million passengers traveled by train – a 10.1% increase compared to April 2025. In the freight sector, approximately 18.4 million tonnes of cargo were transported, exceeding the previous year’s figure by 6.5%.
